Price for Mammalian System

Considering the complex nature of protein expression in heterogeneous systems, ExonBIO not only applies several distinct expression systems range from prokaryotes to mammalian cells to accomplish the tasks but also sets up a milestone-based pricing system that benefits our clients.

Expression and solubility trial (optional): After receive your order, Exon BioSystems scientists subclone your gene-of-interest into our proprietary One-step expression system, and express the clone into either insect cells or mammalian cells with several different culture conditions. The collected cells will be analyzed by SDS-PAGE and/or western blot. Our scientists will discuss and review the expression trial data with our client and make sure the expression level and solubility of the recombinant protein meet the needs of our client. Cost: $1,500

Activity trial (optional): If the client satisfied the expression level of the recombinant protein and want to continue the project, We will produce and purify a small amount of protein (~10 µg) for our client. The client will perform the protein function assay and make the decision whether to continue the project. In general, mammalian cell expressed soluble recombinant proteins are correctly folded and should be functional, however, exception is not rare. Cost: $1,500

Production: After get permission from our client, Our scientists will set up a large scale production. The recombinant protein will be purified by affinity purification. The purity of affinity purification is usually above 85% but the purity is also based on the expression level of the recombinant protein. In case the purity of the recombinant protein is less than expected, alternative purification will be applied and we will make sure the purity of the delivered recombinant protein reaches above 85%. With the request of our client, high purity to 95% or higher are applicable. Cost: $5,000 for full service (including gene cloning, trials and 1 liter production and purification). This three-step milestone based pricing system greatly reduced the risk of our clients. If any of the step does not meet your needs, the project can be stopped with your request. You only pay the trial fee we served for you, that saves big money for you in case the protein is not be able to expressed quantitatively or in active form which could happened in some unusual cases.
