NEWS from ExonBio

ExonBIO Received SBIR Funding from NIH/NIGMS

Mar. 20, 2010 ExonBIO has received an SBIR grant from National Institue of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) for developing a mammalian transient expression system. This is a significant step for ExonBIO to enhance our mammalian protein expression and purification business by increasing the expression level and therefore cutting the processing cost. NIGMS

ExonBIO Antibody Sequencing Deal with Elan Parmaceutical is on The Scientist.

Feb. 1, 2010 In the recent issue (Vol 24 Issue 2 Page 53) of the biotech journal The Scientist, ExonBIO was appeared on an article "The Matchmaking Marketing" written by associate editor, Jef Akst. Dr. Kunhua Chen, CEO of Exon Biosystems was interviewed by Jef about his story of how to connect to the customers through Assay Depot, a "matchmaker" company based in San Diego. >> Story details or visit The Scientist (free registration is required to view the journal)

Two 15kb Genes Cloned in ExonBIO

Feb. 20, 2010 ExonBIO have cloned mouse and human RYR2 (mus musculus and homo sapiens ryanodine receptor 2, RYR2, NM_023868 and NM_001035 respectively) into the mmamalian expression vector pcDNA5/TO (invitrogen). RYR2, encoded 4966 amino acids, ~15kb bases, probably one of the longest genes in mammalian genomes. With extreme effort, both mouse and human RYR2 genes had been successfully cloned. >>Details
